Dear colleagues,

Please consider contributing to the Special Track on "Inter- and Trans-Disciplinary Research, Education, and/or Communication", to be held in the context of the 13th International Multi-Conference on Complexity, Informatics and Cybernetics: IMCIC 2022, which will take place on March 8 - 11, 2022, in Orlando, Florida, USA.

You can submit your abstract (300-600 words) at: https://www.iiis-2022conf.org/Spring-SpecialEvents

Accepted and presented papers will be published in:

  1. The conference proceedings (indexed by SCOPUS since 2010).
  2. A special issue of the Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics, and Informatics (JSCI), indexed, since 2003, by DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals, considered a whitelist). In this case the author needs to adapt the paper for trans-disciplinary communications and meet the format and the additional requirement for the journal. There will be no additional processing cost to be paid by the authors.
  3. Printed copies of the electronic special issue, or a multi-author book, to be distributed via Amazon at a very low price.

No charges, additional to the conference registration fee, will be required for 2 and 3.

Deadlines

December 18, 2021: Submission of Abstracts (300-600 words). It should be made via the web page which URL has been given above. Please do not send it by e-mail, or through the options provided on the conference website under the tab "Authors".
January 12, 2022: Submission of full papers, which will be posted on a web page accessible via password for all other authors in order to include Participative-Peer-to-Peer Reviewing, along with other reviewing methods.
February 8, 2022: Submission of the final versions of the full papers (2500-5000 words for the proceedings and 2500-10000 words for the special issue of the journal).

Expected deadlines regarding the other two publications are included in the more detailed Call for Articles and Reviewers for this special event, which has been posted at the URL given above.

This conference has always contemplated the two modalities of participation: face to face and virtual. However, given the current Coronavirus situation and travel restrictions, at this moment we are only accepting submissions for virtual participation. If the situation changes and we feel the safety of our participants would not be at risk, we will start accepting submissions for face-to-face participation, and those authors who submitted their article for virtual participation will have the ability to change their participation modality to face-to-face, if they wish.

The Proceedings of IMCIC have been indexed by Elsevier's SCOPUS since 2010. The 2022 proceedings will also be sent to Elsevier's SCOPUS.

Both synchronous and asynchronous virtual presentations are possible. Therefore, the authors who participate virtually in the conference have the option of:

  • Submitting a slide show and/or a pre-recorded video of their presentation (asynchronous presentation) or
  • Making their presentation via Zoom (synchronous presentation)

Additionally, each paper to be presented at the event, virtually or in-person, may be read and commented on, via electronic forums, and evaluated by those participants who have registered for the conference.

Keynote speakers will be selected from registered authors whose submissions are among the best according to their external reviewers. The identification of the best submissions will be based on the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of the reviewers and the percentage of reviewers recommending the acceptance of the submission as related to all the reviewers who made their respective reviews. For this reason, we recommend you to submit your paper early.

Thank you for your time, and we look forward to your contribution.

Respectfully,

IMCIC-IDREC 2022 Organizing Committee
